The time of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum is a formative, special time, an experience that will accompany you throughout your life. Whether it's your first or another child.
As a doula and an experienced birth woman, I accompany you lovingly and empathetically through this time and create a calm space for you so that you can prepare for birth feeling safe and mindful. I'll show you how important it is to carefully select the birthplace and the people who will accompany you through this significant event, and inform you about the options available to you for childbirth. You should feel secure and be able to approach the birth day self-assured and full of courage, looking forward to your child. We tackle any existing fears together and transform them into strength and trust.
During childbirth, I accompany you without judgment and with full dedication. I attentively tend to your needs, remind you of your strength, and encourage you to follow your instincts. It's important to me to involve your partner as well and to support you both wherever you need it and for as long as you want it.
There are no shift changes for me. I remain by your side, regardless of the duration of labor. I support you physically and emotionally, providing you with stability so that you can listen to your body and confidently follow your intuition.
A woman can only give birth in peace and security. Being there for you, caring for you with my whole presence, and bringing calm to this special situation is a matter of the heart for me and my vocation.

What is a Doula ?
On the way to giving birth, a couple experiences one of the most significant processes of maturation in their lives. The expectant mother needs - in addition to a safe external and internal space - a stable foundation within herself to courageously tread her own path.
A doula understands this foundation and can be a valuable support as a companion on the journey. She creates an atmosphere of security and being held for the growing young family. She provides the woman with a trusting space, accompanying her with loving care but also with necessary expertise.
A doula does not give medical advice but emotionally supports the couple and serves as an important confidante. She ensures a respectful collaboration with midwives, doctors, and other professionals. Hand in hand, she works with the midwife, complementing her valuable work. She remains with the birthing woman throughout the entire birth process - whether in the hospital, birth center, or at home.
The role of the doula is not new but rather an ancient tradition that is increasingly being revived in the Western world today. The term "doula" (pronounced Doola) originally comes from Greek and loosely translates to "servant of the woman" - serving in the sense of providing space and support.
Studies show that one-on-one support from a doula can have positive effects on the course of childbirth, breastfeeding relationships, and partnership.
